Romesa Gelgi, 24, from Turkey, holds the world record for being the tallest woman in the world.

The Guinness Book of World Records lists a 24-year-old Turkish woman as tall as 7 feet 0.7 inches.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Romessa's height is due to a condition called Weaver's Syndrome, which results in abnormal physical growth.

Romessa set the world record for the tallest girl in the world at the age of 18 in 2014 and her height was checked again in 2021.

Due to her condition, the woman usually walks in a wheelchair, but for a while she can walk with the help of a walker.

When her name was included in the Guinness Book of World Records, Romessa tried to raise awareness about medical issues such as Weaver.

"You can turn every obstacle in your favor when you accept yourself, be aware of your abilities and try to do something in life," he said.

He told the Guinness Book of World Records that his stature often amazes people, but most people are very nice and helpful.

Interestingly, the world's tallest man, Sultan Kousin, is currently from Turkey, standing 8 feet 2.8 inches tall.

The Guinness Book of World Records also says that the world's tallest man and woman have a rare coincidence from a single country.

The last time this happened was in 2009 when the record was set by Bao Shihon (7 feet 8.95 inches) and Yao Dafin (7 feet 7.85 inches) from China.

The tallest woman ever recorded in the world is Zheng Jinlian, who was from China and was 8 feet 1 inch tall when she died in February 1982.
